You might want to fill up your tank this Tuesday because gas prices in Ontario are expected to surge by Wednesday.

According to Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, Ontarians can expect to see a four-cent rise at the pumps tomorrow.

Gas prices are projected to go up to 103.9 cents in the GTHA, Ottawa, Barrie, Windsor, London, Peterborough, Sudbury, Kingston, Kitchener, Guelph and Niagara, according to a tweet from McTeague.

McTeague revealed to Narcity that there are multiple political factors for the change in prices, including Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis.

"This rise is due to a rally in energy markets which slumped last week on Trumps Corona Virus hospitalization," wrote McTeague.

"It was short lived and his return seems to have restore investor confidence."

Hurricane Delta is also a potential factor, which could see prices rise again between Thursday and Friday.

"Hurricane Delta could help pump up prices yet another 2 cents by Thursday and Friday."
