Canada's retail landscape is being shaped by more international brands than ever. Before the Dutch version of Walmart launches its Canadian expansion this fall, another retailer from overseas will be opening its doors. Korean all-natural beauty brand Innisfree opens in Toronto this summer. According to Retail Insider, Innisfree has secured a 2,500 square-foot space at Yorkdale, Canada's most profitable shopping centre. Innisfree is known as Korea's "number one beauty brand" for its all-natural product line, eco-friendly packaging and affordable prices. Retail Insider reports that there are also 7 Innisfree stores in the US, the first of which opened in Manhattan's Union Square in 2017. Innisfree will be located in the same area as Yorkdale's Uniqlo and MUJI stores. Innisfree's first standalone store in Canada will open sometime this summer. You can even shop products based on your skin type or specific skincare needs. Their products are created in the Green Beauty Lab in the heart of Jeju, a beachy island in Korea. Another great thing to note about Innisfree is their prices. Most of their products are $30 CAD or less. A quick look at the Innisfree website will tell you that the most expensive product is about $50 CAD. Their single-use face masks are just $1.75 CAD each.
