Ouch, Jimmy! After a record-breaking night for Schitt’s Creek at the Primetime Emmy Awards, the ceremony’s host just had to take a dig. Jimmy Kimmel totally roasted Canada and he got us right where it hurts.

It was a great night for Ontario-based show Schitt’s Creek on Sunday, as the cast and crew took home a historic number of comedy awards.

However, not prepared to let the full-sweep go down without a dig, host Jimmy Kimmel reminded Canadians of the one award we didn’t win.

“The Canadians have won all the Emmys tonight,” he said, adding “Which, you know, Canada only has like 200 people in it.”

He went on to joke that if the cast and crew had won one more award, they would have “been able to trade them in for this… a Stanley Cup.”

“But they didn’t,” he said. “So we’re going to keep it here for another 27 years. Sorry, Canada!”

Ouch!

Despite his jesting, we know Kimmel loves Canada, really. He’s even the honorary mayor of Newfoundland town Dildo!
