Early this morning, Narcity reported that Toronto firefighters were battling a five-alarm blaze near Bathurst and Richmond Street. The fire erupted around 5:30 AM on Monday morning and has since been put out. Now, locals are banding together to raise money for those who lost their homes in the deadly fire. A substantial fire department crew gathered near Bathurst and Richmond to put out the flames. The crew arrived with 13 trucks and 50 firefighters were on the scene. Only an hour after Narcity reported on news of the fire, it was confirmed that two people were rescued from the burning building. Of the two people that were rescued, one person has died from their injuries. The campaign description reads, "This morning a huge fire broke out and has displaced a huge part of the community. We are looking to rebuild at least 7 homes and would really appreciate anything you can do to help." The description continues, "This is a very sad and serious moment and we have seen a huge family come together to support these people. Whatever you can do, we would be most grateful." The campaign's goal is to raise $50,000 in total. The campaign is already trending on the platform.
