Tickets go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on August 1.
Toronto is going out with a bang this summer! Beloved local chef Matty Matheson is launching a new food and music festival this September, and it looks like it’s going to be completely bonkers. Matheson has stacked his first festival lineup with several cult artists. The Wu-Tang Clan, Descendants, Gorgol Bordello and Danny Brown, are all scheduled to headline the event.
Matheson, who is best known as the host on Vice’s "Suppertime" and "Dead Set On Life", says Mattyfest 2019 will be a family-friendly event. The festival will bring together food and music with a menu personally curated by the eccentric TV personality.
The menu is set to feature numerous US pitmasters and over 20 local hotspots amongst other delicious outlets. Pasta-makers Famiglia Baldassarre, sushi bar Skippa, Donna’s snack bar, restaurant Alma and gourmet hot dog booth Kungfu Dawg will all have booths at the much-anticipated event.
According to CTV News, each vendor will be offering a select number of dishes during the festival, which will start at $6. Children 12 and under get in free as long they are with a ticket-holding adult.
Mattyfest is set to go down on September 7 at Echo Beach. The line-up features several favorite artists including Jennifer Castle, Chastity, Metz, Turnover and Ruby Waters.
