SIU The child's 33-year-old father succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital. It's also been reported that an OPP officer was seriously hurt in the interaction. The SIU said that their findings were based on forensic evidence and reports prepared by the Centre of Forensic Sciences. This included the postmortem examination of the baby, the trajectory of shots that struck the truck, firearms, cartridge cases and projectiles. The police had initially responded to reports that the father had abducted the child, according to CTV News. This investigation remains ongoing.
