It looks like more young people are continuing to catch COVID-19. In the government's latest report, those between the ages of 20 to 29 now have the highest amount of cases province-wide.

On Monday, 119 new Ontario COVID-19 cases were reported. Out of these, 64% were under the age of 40.

Now, 6,216 Ontarians in their 20s have contracted COVID-19, which makes them the highest age group in the province.

Those in their 50s follow closely behind with 6,187 cases.

Last week, the Ontario government mentioned that more younger residents were contracting the disease due to "fatigue" over COVID-19.

Health officials are warning to keep your distance and to avoid large gatherings as Ontario moves into stage three.
