18-Year-Old Ontarian Fined $880 After Hosting A Large House Party With Friends
Around 40 to 50 people showed up.
The OPP was forced to cut oneshort after they discovered around 50 people inside.
According to a news release, on October 24 around midnight police responded to a large gathering taking place in East Ferris Township.
About 40 to 50 people under the age of 20 were spotted partying inside of the home.
Fine for hosting a large house party
The illegal gathering goes against the Reopening Ontario Act, which prohibits more than 10 people from gathering inside at one time.
The OPP revealed that the host of the party was an 18-year-old who lived in the area.
The host has now been fined $880 for "fail to comply with a continued section 7.0.2 order."
However, this isn't the first time that party-goers have been charged.
