It was nice while it lasted. Ontario's COVID-19 case count went back into triple digits today, breaking a nearly week-long streak of days with less than 100 new cases of the virus.\nThe province's health minister Christine Elliot tweeted the news on Saturday, August 15 saying that they were reporting 106 new cases of the virus. \n\n106\nNew COVID-19 cases mean the week-long streak is over. \n\nIt's not all bad news. Elliot also reported that out of 34 public health units in the province 27 of them reported fewer than five new cases and out of those 18 of them actually had no new cases. \nShe also said that the number of hospitalizations is going down and the number of people in the ICU or on ventilators remains stable. \nOntario last saw a triple-digit increase on August 10 when 115 new cases were reported.
