Residents got some hopeful news this Wednesday. Ontario's new cases of COVID-19 have dropped below 80 for the first time in months. \nOntario's Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, announced in a tweet that the province only reported 76 new cases on July 29. \n\n\nEditor's Choice: Toronto & Peel Will Officially Be Moving Into Stage 3 On Friday\n\n\n\n76\nNew cases of COVID-19 in Ontario on July 29\n\nThis is the lowest increase that Ontario has seen since March 22. \nHospitalizations and ICU admissions are also declining across the province. \nDespite the good news, Elliott is reminding residents to continue to practice physical distancing. \n"We’re making tremendous progress, but it’s never been more important that each of us continue to practice physical distancing and wear a mask when doing so isn’t possible."\nThe news comes on the same day that the government announced that Toronto and Peel will be moving into stage 3.
