You Can Now Pick Up Your Groceries At Select Toronto Subway Stations
Grocery shopping just got a lot easier.
Picking up groceries on your way home from work can be a big hassle. For example, if you live far from the grocery store you may have to detour out of your way to grab dinner when all you want to do is get home and relax after work. Now you can get your groceries without even having to leave the subway. PC Express grocery pick up is now available at some Toronto subway stations and you're life is about to be so much easier.
A new partnership between the TTC and President's Choice (PC) was announced today as a pilot project. Now customers can order PC groceries online or through the app and pick them up at one of three select subway stations.
The TTC stations in the pilot are Finch Station, High Park, and Islington Station. The orders can be picked up there on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 4 PM and 7 PM ET, which is typically the times that people are commuting home anyway. In order to qualify for these pickups, the orders must be placed by 11 AM ET on those days.
There is also a bonus pick up time at the High Park station. Customers near there can order their groceries by 9 AM on Saturdays and Sundays for pick-up between 2 and 5 PM on those days.
These three new pick-up locations add to PC's already long list. Currently, PC Express grocery pick up is available at almost 700 different locations across the country, including at No Frills, Loblaws, Independent, Valu-Mart, Superstore, Fortinos, and Zehr's stores.
On top of those locations, grocery pick-up is also already available on some other transit systems. PC Express also has pick-up options along the Lakeshore Go Train line, at select stops between Burlington and Whitby.
According to a statement by Herman Paek, Senior Vice President of Loblaw Digital, "PC Express will make Toronto commuters’ lives a little bit easier by putting their groceries right on their transit route home." He continued saying, "As we cover the GTA with easy grocery pick-up and delivery options, we’re helping our customers live their lives uninterrupted, spending more time doing the things they love."
The PC Express pick-up at these TTC stops begins today, Wednesday, May 15.
