Toronto police are warning residents to stay away from restricted areas at a popular hiking spot after a rockslide.\nShocking photos of a Scarborough Bluffs rockslide were tweeted out by police on August 13. \n1/2 @TorontoPolice we’re constantly warning ppl to stay away from the top of the Scarborough Bluffs because they can be unstable= dangerous. Today, there was partial rockslide. pic.twitter.com/xo5qigvmTW— Paul MacIntyre (@InspMac) August 14, 2020\n\nAccording to Paul MacIntyre, who is an inspector for the Toronto Police, the incident was unexpected. \nPhotos of the rockslide show debris at the bottom of the tall cliffs that could have posed a risk for anyone below. \nMacIntyre is now cautioning visitors not to trespass on the cliffs prohibited areas as another rockslide could happen in the future. \nFirst responders are often called out to the area to assist people who have gotten stuck after venturing past warning signs on the bluffs.
