Special Security Notice Announced For Ariana Grande’s Show In Toronto Tomorrow Night
Scotiabank Arena has announced special security requirements for Ariana Grande's show in Toronto tomorrow night.
Scotiabank Arena has released a special security notice instructing attendees of Ariana Grande's Sweetener Tour concert in Toronto on April 3rd to keep all personal belongings in a clear bag when entering the concert venue. In a statement to Narcity by Scotiabank Arena's Fan Services department, Ariana Grande's bag policy is "not normal procedure for events at our venue". According to Scotiabank, "These rules have been set by the concert for all venues they visit."
The special security statement directs all concert attendees to put their belongings in a 100% clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag. The maximum size of the bag is 12" x 6" x 12". The statement explicitly warns attendees that the arena will absolutely not admit any bags that are not 100% transparent.
These new security guidelines apply to the Ariana Grande concert only; other events at Scotiabank Arena will not be affected by this regulation.
The special security requirements are enforced by all venues at which Ariana Grande will be performing as a safety precaution after the tragic incident that occurred at Grande's Manchester concert back in 2017.
Grande's show came to an abrupt end when a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at Manchester Arena, killing 22 people and injuring an additional 120. Police treated the event as a terrorist attack.
Grande began her Sweetener tour on March 18th in Albany, New York and will continue to travel across the continent until the summer. Her last stop on her North American tour will be on July 13th in Salt Lake City, Utah.
After a month-long hiatus, she'll travel overseas to perform the European leg of her tour, starting on August 17th in London, England. The tour will end in Zurich, Switzerland on October 13st, 2019.
