After the kidnapping of Wanzhen Lu captured the attention of Canadians last month, a third suspect has been arrested in the Markham parking garage attack case. York Regional Police announced today that the man has been apprehended. According to York Regional Police, they arrested 22-year-old Nathan Plater, from Clearview in connection to Lu's kidnapping. The arrest was made yesterday at Plater's home after police executed a search warrant there. Police have not gone into detail about how Plater played a role in Lu's kidnapping, which happened in Markham on March 23. Lu, who is also 22-years-old was reportedly walking through a parking garage with a female friend when he was approached by three men, shocked with a stun gun and put in a van. Lu was found safely in Gravenhurst four days after he was first reported missing. He had managed to get to a residence there where a man was outside walking his dog. He asked the man for help and was eventually taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Now exactly, one month after Lu was located, police have three of the four suspects involved in his kidnapping in custody. All three are facing multiple charges. York Regional Police The other two suspects arrested ahead of Nathan Plater are 37-year-old Abdullahi Adan from Toronto and 33-year-old Hashim Abdullahi from Brampton. All three men are now facing multiple charges relating to the kidnapping. For Plater, these charges are kidnapping, forcible confinement, and possession of a prohibited firearm. He appeared in court today and will be held in custody until his next court date later this month. Unfortunately, the case isn't closed. Police are still looking for the fourth and final suspect involved in this case and have a Canada-wide arrest warrant out for him. They have identified that fourth suspect as 28-year-old Muzamil Addow, from Toronto. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police advise Addow to seek legal counsel and turn himself in.
