This Toronto Casino Is Hiring 200 New Employees And You Don't Need Any Experience To Apply
Casino Woodbine is filling hundreds of positions for table game dealers and no experience is necessary to get hired.
If you want to work where the fun never stops, this job's for you. Casino Woodbine, one of the largest casinos in the GTA, is expanding its roster of gaming tables. The casino is looking for 200 new table game dealers, and you don't need any experience to get hired!
Casino Woodbine is hosting a three-day job fair for interested candidates. The fair will be held on the casino grounds at 555 Rexdale Blvd., on the Champions 3rd Floor. Here are the dates and times:
- Thursday, July 12 at 4PM-8PM
- Monday, July 16 at 4PM-8PM
- Tuesday, July 17 at 12PM-4PM
They'll be holding on-site interviews, so come prepared with your resume. Basic math skills are required to make quick calculations on the fly. If you're hired, you'll be provided with all the training you need to run your table - from exchanging chips, to card dealing and expert-level shuffling.
The job description says that candidates must be ready to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight. Part-time and full-time hours are available for all the open positions.
According to Glassdoor, table game dealers make anywhere from minimum wage to $17.00 an hour. But, the bulk of your earnings come from tips, which can be pretty good depending on your skill level. Casino Woodbine's policy on tips for table game dealers isn't specified in the job description.
"For the 'average' dealer, the amount of money you make will come down to what games you’re dealing and how much the players like you," says casino.org, "That means that more skilled dealers will make more in tips, but also that more personable dealers will do better."
