In the wake of the tragic Danforth shooting in Toronto just a few short weeks ago, there was an outpouring of support for the victims and their families.

Just days after the shooting a benefit concert was organized at the Danforth Music Hall by local band Billy Talent featuring City in Colour, PUP and more.

Tickets for the concert sold out fast but it seems that not everyone bought them for the right reason.

Ticketmaster has banned the resale of tickets to the show, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Toronto Strong Fund in support of the victims of the shooting and their loved ones.

But that hasn’t stopped some people from posting the tickets they bought online with sites like Kijiji and eBay.

Tickets for the show were originally sold at $50 a seat, but the people looking to sell their tickets are charging outrageous amounts of money for them.

For example, below is one person selling their tickets for $400.

The post on Kijiji says that the money the person gets from the resale of the tickets “will be donated to the Toronto Strong Fund,” but provide no proof that they’ll do that and even offer to meet in person so they can just get paid in cash.

And they aren’t the only ones, someone else one eBay is selling a pair of tickets for $899.

So there you have it, scalpers will try to profit off anything. Even a benefit concert in support of those affected by the Danforth shooting.
