Toronto Man Arrested For Pouring Maple Syrup On Sidewalk
What a sticky situation.
On today's edition of the strangest things to happen in the GTA: A man has been arrested for pouring a pool of maple syrup onto the sidewalk in Hamilton. Yes, you read that correctly, maple syrup.
Police were called around 10 A.M. on Thursday to an area on Summers Lane in Hamilton, where they found an "unknown, sticky liquid" covering a four-foot area. They weren't entirely sure what it was, but they guessed it was maple syrup. Witnesses pointed out the 56-year-old culprit, and he was arrested for mischief.
It was so bad, a city road crew had to be called to clean up the sticky mess with "absorbent material". To make things even more bizarre, the man was also carrying a small amount of marijuana and violating a probation order. Mischief managed.
