Toronto Police made the public aware of a voyeurism incident that took place this past Saturday, July 6th at the popular Eaton Centre shopping mall. Police claim that the Toronto man charged with voyeurism is 22 years old. He had allegedly been secretly filming female shoppers with a homemade recording device.\nPolice say that at approximately 4:00 PM on Saturday, the man "entered a clothing store of the mall and proceeded towards the unisex change rooms." He placed the homemade recording device on the floor between change room stalls and "recorded numerous females changing."\nOne woman had apparently noticed the recording device on the floor and immediately alerted security. Police managed to seize multiple video clips from the device that contained "images of unknown women".\nPolice have provided these photos of the recording device in question:\nToronto Police Services\nToronto Police Services\nThe man, who appeared in court on Sunday, July 7th, faces 11 criminal charge - ten counts of voyeurism, one count of mischief/obstruct property not exceeding $5000. He was released under surety supervision, meaning that he will be supervised at all times while out on bail.\n"Due to the publication ban in place, the identity of the man cannot be released at this time," police state in their news release. They believe that there may be other victims and the investigation remains ongoing.
