A McDonalds located in a Walmart Supercentre at 1900 Eglinton Avenue East has closed and is being scrubbed down after a Toronto McDonalds COVID-19 case.

Customers and staff may have been exposed to the virus through an employee who tested positive. The worker was last on the job on Sunday, August 17, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., reports CTV.

We are working to ensure our timeline to reopen happens as quickly and safely as possible.

In a press release, the company stated that they are "working to ensure our timeline to reopen happens as quickly and safely as possible as we know our guests depend on their local McDonald's, and we are committed to doing our part to help our communities."

All employees who may have been in close contact with the individual have been asked to isolate and get tested.

Meanwhile, any customers who visited the location while the employee was working on Sunday August 17 are asked to self-moniter for symptoms and follow other health guidelines.

There's no confirmed reopening date for the location, at this point.
