Yesterday morning a man was killed by an oncoming train at Bloor-Yonge subway station, but unlike many incidents and injuries at track level this was no accident. The police have charged a 57-year-old man with his murder following the incident. Police arrived on the scene at 10:30 a.m. yesterday after the victim, an Asian man estimated to be in his 50s or 60s was pushed onto the track. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but later died of his injuries, and upon discovering suspiscious evidence the police launched a homicide investigation, arresting the 57-year-old suspect at the scene. @approx_avgembedded via Detective Rob North said yesterday at a press conference, "that there was an interaction between our accused and deceased and our deceased is sort of pushed and falls under the train." Via TPSOperations The police are unsure at this time whether there was a violent altercation of sorts, and have not yet spoked to the accused. The accused, who has not yet been identified by police has been charged with first degree murder, and will appear at a bail hearing today. Via Carlballou/Dreamstime.com The police are still in the process of trying to locate the victim's family asking anyone who might have information to contact the 53 Division at 416-808-5300.
