Toronto's Rookie Cop Saved A Baby's Life & Also Rescued A Woman From Drowning
He's only been on the service for 10 months!
How many people can say they've saved a life, let alone two in the last four months?
Constable Ivan Yeung, who just joined the service 10 months ago, is being praised as a hero after helping to save a baby's life last month.
According to TPS, Const. Yeung performed CPR on the infant until paramedics arrived on the scene.
“When I got there, I saw a baby lying on the sidewalk and the fists appeared to be clenched tightly," said Yeung.
"As I got closer, I realized the chest wasn’t moving and the baby wasn’t breathing."
The incident, which occurred at University Ave and Richmond St. West on November 18, marks the second time the officer has saved a life this year.
Yeung alongside Const. Chally Phan rescued a female from drowning nearback in August.
A trained lifeguard, Yeung reportedly jumped into the water to save the woman.
