Some students won't be returning to class this week. A Toronto school has completely shut down after a COVID-19 outbreak was declared. 

According to the Toronto District School Board, Mason Road Junior Public school has now been closed

The school will be shut down

It is the only school that is currently shut down in the city. 

The move comes after one student and three staff members tested positive for the disease. 

In a letter that went home to parents, that was obtained by Narcity, TDSB states that "additional cleaning" will take place over this week. 

Mason Road JPS will be closed from September 28 until at least October 2. 

After this time, the board will let staff and students know if they should return. 

This is the second Toronto school to declare an outbreak this weekend. 

Glen Park Public School has had two students test positive for COVID-19. However, the building still remains open.
