No need to take a road trip to Quebec's countryside this spring to eat some cabane à sucre meals. ?

During Spring Break, Toronto's Sugar Beach will be opening a sugar shack with traditional French Canadian music and food. The event, organized by Waterfront Toronto and Quebec Original, is free!

For those who don't know what traditional Quebec food is, here's a complete menu: pea soup, sausages and eggs in syrup, ham, pork beans, salted lard crips, omelets, cretons, pancake, tourtière, sugar pie and pouding au chômeur.

Ps! Don't forget to wear plaid. It's the "traditional" outfit to wear to a sugar shack.

When: Saturday, March 12, 12pm to 10pm // Sunday, March 13, 11am to 5pm

Where: Sugar Beach // Jarvis and Queens Quay

After your maple taffy degustation, make sure to try a real poutine at one of Quebec's food trucks. ?

Visit The Sugar Beach Sugar Shack website for more information about activities.
