Toronto To Have No Days Below 22 C For The Rest Of August
Surprise, surprise: It's gonna be hot.
Toronto is in for more heat this month — long-term forecasts by Accuweather are showing no days below 22 C for the rest of August, with lots of sun and humidity on the way.
The hottest days will exhibit temperatures from 26 C to 31 C, with the humidity making it feel even warmer than usual. While there are some showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, the majority of the days leading up to the Labour Day long weekend should have comfortable amounts of sunshine:
This warm trend isn't all that new for Toronto — most of the forecasted temperatures for this month match the historical values seen for the city in years prior.
What to do in extreme heat
The City of Toronto has outlined a few tips to help you deal with the hot weather. When out and about, it's important to stay hydrated, wear breezy clothing and pack on the sunscreen to protect yourself from harmful UV rays.
When at home, experts advise that you keep blinds closed to keep your rooms in the shade, unplug electronics and turn off lights when they're not being used, place fans next to a window to draw in cooler air from outside, and more.
