After a below-seasonal start to spring and summer, it looks like Toronto is finally about to get a taste of that late June humidity. Coming off of a gorgeous weekend in southern Ontario, the Toronto weather forecast for this week is looking good for those who love hot and sticky summer days. And of course, it wouldn't be complete without a summer thunderstorm - or several.\nMonday, June 24th will be relatively mild compared to the rest of this week. Light morning rain will make way for a mostly cloudy day and a high of 27°C with the humidex, followed by more thundershowers in the evening.\nAs for the rest of the week and into next week, expect temperatures to feel no cooler than 30°C. Humidity will bear down on the Toronto area this week. Wednesday and Thursday will feel like 34°C, followed by 33°C humidity on Friday and Saturday.\nTake a look at the current 7-day forecast in Toronto, from June 24th to July 1st, 2019:\nThe Weather Network\nSo far, the Canada Day long weekend is looking pretty good. The Weather Network's Dr. Doug Gillham says, "Warm and humid weather is expected for the beginning of the long weekend, but things won't be nearly as hot as what we experienced last year."\nDr. Gillham also warns of passing showers on Canada Day, which could put a damper on the city's celebrations. "We can't rule out a passing shower on Canada Day Monday either," he adds.\nAs for summer heat waves, Dr. Gillham says that we could be in the clear for now. "We do not have any extended periods of truly hot weather in sight, but we will have an abundance of pleasant summer weather." Just the kind of news we love to hear!
