Next time you dispose of your trash, make sure to do it properly. Toronto Wildlife Centre is asking residents to pick up their garbage after a baby raccoon got stuck in a mason jar lid. According to the centre, the trash panda has since been reunited with his family.

On Thursday, Toronto Wildlife stated that the baby was brought to the centre after a resident in the area noticed he had a mason jar lid wrapped tightly around his neck.

The little creature was placed under anesthesia and the lid was removed.

Thankfully, the young animal escaped the ordeal relatively unharmed, with only a "slight abrasion" around his neck.

The Wildlife Centre is now reminding Torontonians of the importance of making sure that "rigid circle" items like cans, food jars, and containers are properly disposed of in garbage or recycling bins.
