Lights are turning off

Both the lights of the grand Christmas Tree and canopies will be shut off.

They are set to remain off until the end of lockdown, which is scheduled for January 23, 2021.

The area is known for the annual Toronto Christmas Market, which was unable to take place this year due to safety regulations.

Instead, the Distillery District transformed into a dazzling winter village featuring lights and holiday cheer.

The event was scheduled to run throughout the winter season, but it will not be looking as bright after today.
