TTC Streetcars Have Stopped Working Because Of The Cold
The last thing you wanna hear on a day like this.

As if this weather wasn't bad enough, as of yesterday, 25 TTC streetcars are out of commission because the cold has messed with their pneumatic breaks. Most of these streetcars were built in the '70s, so their capacity to withstand extreme temperatures is pretty low.
This is bad news for anyone looking to commute today, because the TTC is warning that people can expect longer waits than usual at streetcar stops. To be fair to them, they're doing everything they can to reduce the effects of this problem, and have even put overnight crews on standby to help ease the congestion.
