Canadians Are Hating Trudeau More Than Ever As Poll Shows New Low For The Party
Only 27% of Canadians would vote for Trudeau's Liberal party in the upcoming election.
Justin Trudeau has been in the hot seat the past few months, especially with the SNC-Lavalin scandal that has been in the limelight for the past while. With elections just around the corner, Canadians are starting to their true feelings and Trudeau is taking a hit in the polls. According to the Leger Poll, Trudeau and his party have reached a new low when it comes to the polls.
Of course, it comes as no surprise that Trudeau would be taking a hit in the polls due to some of his recent debacles. From the SNC-Lavalin affair to the new carbon tax, many Canadians haven't really seen eye to eye with Trudeau's actions.
Just last month,on Canadians showing exactly how much they were hating on Trudeau when a petition arose that was calling for Justin Trudeau's Resignation.
The e-petition is on the House of Commons platform, which the Government of Canada's official petition site and has gained over 15,000 of signatures.
To make matters worse, the Leger poll conducted a recent survey from April 18-22 to ask questions regarding the upcoming election. According to the Ottawa Citizen, Trudeau's party has reached a new low as their poll numbers continue to drop.
In the new poll, only 27% of those surveyed stated that they would vote for Trudeau's Liberals. That's just one-quarter of Canadians who feel that the Liberal party would be able to successfully run for another term.
At the moment, the conservatives are at much better odds with 40% of Canadians stating they would vote for Andrew Scheer's party.
Of course, it's not just the upcoming elections that Canadians seem to be angry about. According to the Ottawa Citizen, 65% of Canadians stated that they were dissatisfied with the current prime minister and his leadership.
This survey was made up of 1,522 Canadian voters, with the results taking into account the makeup of Canada's population.
Of course, with the election still six months away, there is plenty of time for Trudeau to attempt to win back the votes that he seems to be loosing throughout the past few months.
