The Grinch isn't the only one using the holiday season to go on a crime spree this year. 

A 28-year-old Clarington man is facing numerous charges after reportedly embarking on a two-day robbery in Oshawa.

Durham police state that the suspect stole everything from electronics to cigarettes during his bout of Kleptomania.

Two-day crime spree 

On Monday, November 23, 2020, the first incident occurred when the accused reportedly walked into Walmart in Oshawa and stole several electronics.

Later that same day, he robbed a convenience store before stealing items from a gas station and a Home Hardware on Tuesday.

Officers arrested the man in Whitby on November 25 after he was pulled over and charged with impaired driving.

The suspect, Richard Hughes, faces numerous charges, including Theft Under $5,000, Robbery, Possession under $5,000; Impaired Operation by Drug, Possession of a Schedule I Substance, and Use Unauthorized Plate.
