Thrifters, your time has come! It looks like a few secondhand stores are starting to quietly open up in the province this week. Numerous Value Village Ontario stores have officially reopened to the public as of May 26.

According to the Value Village website, plenty of their provincial locations have already started to reopen to the public, little by little.

"Our stores will reopen on a store-by-store basis as we assess local market conditions. Initial hours will be shortened to allow for additional time to thoroughly clean and stock our sales floors," reads VV's reopening statement.

The reopened stores include five in downtown Toronto, such as the 1319 Bloor St. W. location and the one at 1030 Wilson Ave.

There are also some around the GTA, including two major venues in Mississauga and one in Oakville.

Meanwhile, three in Ottawa Region have also reopened, including 1221 Cyrville Rd. and 1824 Bank St.

Narcity reached out to Value Village for more information and also phoned several of these stores to confirm they have indeed reopened for business.

As for what your shopping experience will look like these days, the Village is changing up its layout to ensure social distancing is being enforced at all times.

"We’re removing merchandise displays and creating additional space on our sales floors to further support social distancing.," reads part of the statement on their site.

"You’ll notice floor decals throughout our stores and check-out lanes, making it easier for you to judge the proper physical distance from other shoppers. Your local store may also limit the number of shoppers inside at any given time."

Value Village will also keep their fitting rooms closed and extend their exchange policy for 14 days so you can try on the items at home.

That's a pretty neat pivot for life in a pandemic, if you ask us.

Value Village joins a list of stores that are reopening around the province right now as Ontario continues its reopening plan.

IKEA Canada just announced they have reopened all of their Ontario locations but are keeping their restaurants closed for the time being.

And Winners, Marshalls, and Homesense have also announced they'll be reopening their stores to the public tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27.

Happy shopping!
