It seems like there's always something new being built regardless of which mall you go to. Honestly, Park Royal, Brentwood Mall, Metrotown - something is either always under construction or just recently finished. Not that it's a bad thing of course, it just means more shopping and browsing to be done! The latest sees West Vancouver's Park Royal host the first Canadian retail location for Douchanglee, a Taiwanese fashion brand that has multiple locations in Taiwan. With 9 department store locations, 5 boutiques and 4 franchises, the company looks to expand their international presence by launching in both Vancouver and Paris, France. @douchangleeembedded via The move comes from Canadian Entrepreneur Jack Wang, who claims his wife was "unable to find clothing in the Lower Mainland with a similar fit, quality and style" as the Taiwanese brand. The brand comes from a couple named Dou Teng-Huang and Zhang Li Yu-Jing, who graduated in fashion design in 1991, and share a handful of design awards. The clothing line features both men's and women's attire, although the Park Royal location will focus initially on womenswear. Prices and quality are in a similar ballpark to Kate Spade and Michael Kors. The retail location will take place beside the newly-renovated H&M, spanning roughly 2,450 sqft and is expected to open this Spring.
