A mountain biker had an unfortunate run-in with a grizzly and that B.C. bear attack left him with injuries.

According to the Conservation Officer Service, a 58-year-old man and his wife were in the Lillooet area on Sunday, August 16, when he was attacked by a grizzly.

It’s believed she acted defensively when she attacked the man and bit his groin.

His wife drove the grizzly and her two cubs off with bear spray.

Then, search and rescue teams found them and evacuated the patient with an air ambulance.

The COS Predator Attack Team conducted an investigation, as this was the second bear attack in the area within one week.
