The photos are so shocking and it's a miracle no one was hurt after a CN train derailment near Hope, B.C. that tipped over at least 20 cars on Monday, September 14.

CBC News confirmed with CN Rail that no one was injured and the train was carrying potash when it derailed at a rail bridge.

I was completely awestruck [from] the sheer volume of destruction.

Jackson Brown, a witness to the crash aftermath.

The incident reportedly occurred at the Hunter Creek rest area just west of Hope.

Pictures and videos of the scene have been posted online and the chilling images show mangled train cars stacked on top of one another with several of the cars in the water and potash sprayed on the ground.

The cause of the incident is currently being investigated and crews are responding.
