On Thursday, September 10, the province had another record-breaking day and reported high numbers of COVID-19 cases in B.C.

"Today, we have a new record high number of cases who have tested positive, 139 people in British Columbia," said Dr. Bonnie Henry.

"Stick to six," said B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix, echoing Dr. Henry's advice to keep your bubble super small, after active cases swelled in the last week.

Although no one has died in the last 24 hour period, there are 213 people who have lost their lives due to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

The announcement came on the same day that most kids go back to school in the province, and earlier this week they shut down the nightclubs to cut down on the spread.
