Environment Canada issued a special weather alert this morning that wet snow and freezing rain is expected to start tonight and continue to Saturday. It may be sunny outside right now, but get ready for the weather to go from 0 to 100 real quick tonight.
The special weather alert is for several regions in BC, such as Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Island and the Fraser Valley. This would mark the first snowfall of the season for Metro Vancouver. Freezing rain does not come often to the city as well.
Some regions will get wet snow, while others will see some snowfall accumulation, according to Environment Canada. Inland areas of Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley are expected to get freezing rain and the entire region is forecasted to receive wet snow.
After a wet snowy weekend, the week ahead isn't looking too pleasant either. Next week, from December 10th to 16th, rain is in the forecast almost every day. There are no days forecasted to see sunshine, according to Accuweather. Well, it was nice while it lasted.
