A 65-Foot Magical Hot Air Balloon Will Fly Above Downtown Vancouver Next Weekend For The First Time Ever
This is unlike anything else you'll see this summer!
Get ready to see something you've probably never seen in downtown Vancouver before. If you thought you were in for an incredible show at the Celebration of Lights next weekend, you're not wrong – but the experience is about to get even better. Hendrick Gin's 65-foot hot air balloon is coming to the Vancouver Art Gallery next weekend for the annual Celebration of Lights.
Hendrick’s Gin's picturesque hot air balloon A.W.E.V.A.N.A.I.R. will be making a special appearance at the Honda Celebration of Light Downtown in Vancouver next weekend.
Not only will the hot air balloon be flying over the Vancouver Art Gallery, but some lucky contest winners will also get to sit inside the balloon while it soars.
"A.W.E.V.A.N.A.I.R. (Amazing, Whimsical, Enchanting, Voyaging, Astounding, Nocturnal, Ascending, Interstellar, Roamer), the 65-foot hot air balloon (oddly decorated with cucumbers and roses) will whisk lucky Golden Ticket winners 44 ¼ cucumbers high into the Vancouver sky," reads a press release from Hendrik's Gin.
"Notable attendees and over 4,425 guests of the Honda Celebration of Light Downtown are expected to visit the Hendrick’s Gin Air Departure Lounge."
This isn't the first time that Hendrick's Gin has brought a unique 65-foot hot air balloon to a Canadian city. For instance, their beautiful balloon visited Montréal during the Festival International de Jazz this summer.
“Hendrick’s is a gin that cultivates the unusual,” said Jessica Mieczkowska, Canadian Brand Manager, Hendrick’s Gin in a press release. “Debuting A.W.E.V.A.N.A.I.R. at the inaugural Honda Celebration of Light Downtown, allows the over 1.3 million attendees of the festival, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to delight in the whimsical world of Hendrick’s Gin.”
You'll be able to catch this unique hot air balloon sighting at the Vancouver Art Gallery on Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3, 2019, from 5 PM to 10 PM.
