The BC Government Just Announced $1.82 Billion Funding For Surrey's New Transit Projects
A big transit announcement has just been made!
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and BC Premier John Horgan just made a huge announcement that is going to drastically change the way we transit around the Greater Vancouver area.

According to CBC News, the federal and provincial governments just announced that they've committed $3 billion into funding for the Broadway subway and long-awaited Surrey light rail project.
Surrey's new LRT (Light Rail Train) project will cost an estimated $1.65 billion! The project will link Guildford, Surrey Central and Newton together on a quick and efficient street-level track.

The new project will add six stations onto the SkyTrain Millennium Line. According to reports, BC will contribute $1.82 billion to the projects, the federal government will give $1.37 billion and TransLink, the city of Vancouver and the city of Surrey will pool in for the remaining $1.23 billion towards the new projects.
