After what started as a relatively mild winter in Vancouver, it looks like all of that has started to change. Vancouver received snowfall this week on Sunday and unseasonably cold temperatures hit the city throughout this week. Now, it looks like snow is coming back to the city again because there's a 70% chance it will snow in Vancouver this weekend, forecasts The Weather Network

The Weather Network is forecasting a 70% chance of snow starting tomorrow on Friday, February 8. The temperature is expected to be -1°C but will feel more like -5°C. Environment Canada is also predicting snowfall of 2 cm to 4 cm on Friday. "Snow. Local amount 2 to 4 cm. Becoming windy late in the afternoon" reads the forecast from Environment Canada

As for Saturday, there's also a chance of snow flurries according to The Weather Network. They predict a 40% chance of snow flurries on Saturday, February 9, as well as cold temperatures that feel like -6°C. There is even expected to be wind gusts of 47 km/hour.

We may also see snow flurries in the city on Sunday. Environment Canada predicts "cloudy periods with 40 percent chance of flurries" for Sunday night, with temperatures as low as -6°C. 

Environment Canada also issued a special weather warning for Metro Vancouver today, February 7th. "A fresh injection of arctic air will descend through the province tonight," warns Environment Canada.

"Increasing moisture ahead of this arctic blast will give snow to most of the South Coast beginning overnight. Snow will continue through Friday. Most areas will receive at least a few centimetres of accumulation by Saturday morning".

Environment Canada warned in their special weather alert today that there would be "bitterly cold arctic outflow winds Friday night and Saturday" in store for Metro Vancouver.

Earlier this week, BC was hit with an "arctic outflow" that brought extremely cold temperatures to the province. Parts of BC even saw temperatures as low as -45°C. 

Vancouver was also hit with snowfall on Sunday, February 3rd and Environment Canada even issued a special weather warning for the city that day saying temperatures could be five to 10 degrees below the seasonal average.
