Okay, I know what you're thinking. You're probably guessing that I'm going to talk about the Meet Fresh that's opening soon on Robson. As much as we're excited as well, you guessed wrong.

There's a new Asian dessert spot that you have to try, and it's already open!

The Flying Rose, located at 1517 Robson St., opened just about a month ago and they are pumping out some of the yummiest Asian desserts downtown has ever tasted.

From mango sago to mango cream crêpes, sweet black sesame soup with tang yuan (rice balls) to red bean paste and vanilla ice cream on green tea shaved ice, The Flying Rose is bring you a little bit of China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea...all in one little shop.

The desserts that The Flying Rose are making are authentic and genuinely taste like a little bit of home to all those who are familiar with these desserts. Especially if you love mango. 😍😍

And to all of those who may have never heard of these desserts before, you absolutely must try! Step out of your comfort zone and get ready for a flavour explosion.

Oh, and maybe I should mention, they also serve wine and make cotton candy fresh right in front of you! Okay, so maybe neither of these items are "Asian", but I mean, who doesn't love wine and cotton candy?

The Flying Rose is open Monday to Thursday 3PM to 9:30PM and Friday to Sunday 3PM to 11PM. Go on, and get your sago on!
