Vancouver Police Release Mugshot Of A Bird After It "Vandalized" Their Office
The crow shattered their glass and fled shortly after.
The police in Vancouver are currently after a suspect that is not your average criminal. According to the North Vancouver RCMP, the team is looking for a bird that vandalized their office early in the morning on Thursday, January 30. They even released a Vancouver bird mugshot showing what the culprit might look like in an attempt to find it.
It looks like the police at the North Vancouver RCMP detachment office decided to make the best of a bad situation with a little law enforcement satire.
According to a press release posted by the staff, the department is looking for a suspect that vandalized the detachment building on the morning of January 30, 2020.
The RCMP are now “pleading with the responsible party to turn themselves in.”
While at first glance it sounds intense and unfortunate, as you read through the release you realize that the criminal was actually a bird.
Included in the press release was the hilarious mug shot of the suspect and to be honest, they look like a trouble maker.
According to the RCMP, the vandalism took place at around 9 a.m yesterday as the suspect positioned itself somewhere above one for the entrance doors.
It is believed that the suspect dropped something hard, possibly a nut, from up above onto the glass in an attempt to crack it open.
The glass above the entrance shattered and the suspect literally flew away from the scene.
“We are asking that suspect to come forward. Do the right thing and take responsibility for what you've done,” said Sgt. Peter DeVries, with North Vancouver RCMP.
While officers are shaken and upset about the “random act of vandalism” they have put their fears aside to show the public what the suspect looked like.
According to police, the suspect had feathers, wings, a beak, and claws. Sounds terrifying.
In order to make sure the public is aware of the immediate danger, the RCMP have released a mugshot of the crow.
"The suspect's lack of any distinguishing features makes this case particularly difficult," said DeVries in the release.
"But we do know a few things. We know how they get around. We know about that whole strange flock migration over the city every evening. And we know they like to talk. Our hope is the one responsible will talk a little too loudly, and that someone might overhear. We're asking anyone with information about this heinous act to get in touch with us."
RCMP are now working with their air services division to determine if anyone is working undercover in the area who might know who this hasty and senseless criminal is.
Obviously, the entire thing is a joke and honestly, we all needed this laugh break.
But the funniest thing is that this is not the first time a crow has messed with RCMP.
was a resident bird in Vancouver that was known for being incredibly mischievous.
