A scary incident recently took place in Vancouver, prompting police to issue a public warning. Today, Vancouver police have arrested a suspect after he followed a young woman home from the bus stop and assaulted her in her own home. This article includes descriptions of sexual assault.\nThe assault took place last week on Thursday, May 23 in the late morning in the East Side of Vancouver. The police have not revealed the victim's identity to the public.\n"At about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, a lone female was waiting at a bus stop on 41st Avenue near Earles Street, when an unknown man approached her and struck up a conversation," says the police in their news release.\n"The Asian woman, in her 20s, did not get on the bus, after realizing she had left something at home." According to investigators, the man then followed the woman from the bus stop back to her home. He managed to get inside and he attacked and sexually assaulted her.\nThe day after the incident on Friday, the Vancouver Police Department issued a public warning. After police released images to the public of the suspect, several people submitted tips and information to help with the case.\n“Our detectives have been working tirelessly on this investigation," says Sergeant Jason Robillard with the Vancouver Police Department, in the news release.
