3 words that usually make us feel thirsty. Obviously , water is the best option to keep the body hydrated. But Iced Tea is the #1 summer sipper. Homemade ones are much healthier and contain less sugar:

Commercial Brands: 110 calories; 28g of sugar

Homemade Iced Tea: 34.5 Calories; 5.6g of sugar / 250ml

You don't need much to make this easy recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 Lemon
  • 2 teabags
  • 2 tablespoon of maple syrup (Add more syrup for more sweetness)

Preparation

  1. Boil the water
  2. In a pitcher, add the teabags to the water and infuse for 2 minutes. Remove the teabags afterward.
  3. Use a quarter of the lemon and squeeze the juice into the pitcher.
  4. Cut the remaining lemon into smaller slices. Squeeze them lightly and throw in the pitcher.
  5. Add some maple syrup.

Put the Iced Tea in the fridge for it to cool down. When the yummy times come, add ice cubes in your glass and enjoy without feeling bad a bit!
