Toronto Could Be Getting A New Tower That Is So Tall & Skinny It Looks Like A Needle
It could be 87 stories high!
The city skyline could soon be changing with this
Herzog & de Meuron, a Swiss-based architectural firm, has designed a super skinny mixed-use tower to be constructed on Bay and Bloor's northwest corner in Toronto.
The building's design is so incredibly thin that it actually resembles a needle or a pen.
Stories proposed in the building
Once finished, the building will stand at 87 storeys, and by the looks of the photo, it's going to be all length and no width.
Units will reportedly range from one-bedroom to multi-level penthouses, with over a total of 332 condos spread throughout 64 floors.
The first 16 floors of the tower will be used for offices and other technical functions.
So, if you don't like heights, you might want to look elsewhere for a new home.
Still, things remain in the early phases of development. Only time will tell when this tower gets built.
