Can’t wait to see you back at youe best on the clay. pic.twitter.com/Gqr39Um2sc— Tennis Canada (@TennisCanada) April 3, 2021\n\nAfter getting checked out, Andreescu said she wouldn't be able to keep going, giving Barty, the reigning champion, the win. \nIn a speech afterwards, Andreescu congratulated her opponent and said it was "definitely not the way I wanted to end the tournament."\nThis isn't the first time an injury has stopped the 20-year-old. Back in November 2019, she had to tap out of the WTA Finals with a knee injury that, combined with the pandemic, would go on to keep her off the court for over a year.
