It looks like the GTA still has major Raptors fever. Hundreds of fans turned out to Danny Green's meet and greet at Square One Shopping Centre’s Sport Chek in Mississauga on Thursday. Green met with fans and promoted his new “basketball skills camp”, which he will host across Canada this year, with the help of Sport Chek and Jumpstart. Despite the huge turnout, only 100 lucky fans got to meet Green. The first 100 people in line outside of the Sport Chek on Wednesday afternoon received a wristband that granted them access to the player’s meet and greet. According to Twitter, over 100 people had already lined up as early as 8:00 AM on Wednesday, proving once again that the early birds really do get the worms. Green had announced the event via his personal Instagram “Back in Toronto on Thursday! I’ll be hanging out at @sportchek Square One from 4:30 – 5:30. To secure your spot, grab your wristbands tomorrow at 4:00 pm at the store in advance. Wristbands limited to the first 100 people. @pumahoops.” View this post on Instagram Back in Toronto on Thursday! Even those who weren’t able to score a wristband were still permitted to watch from the sidelines, so that they could get a glimpse of the Raptors player.
