If the Toronto Raptors are looking for a new mascot, we think we know the right person for the job and he's just too cute. Fred VanVleet Jr. is looking way too adorable in a photo by his dad on Instagram. And fans, likely remembering the indirect role he may have played in the championship win, think he's in with a shout of team MVP.\nDecked out in the fuzziest Raptors onesie possible, Lil' Fred flashes a cheeky smile, showing off a couple of his new set of teeth in the snap shared by VanVleet and his wife.\nVanVleet's son is already something of a hero in Toronto.\nThat's because he was born just before Game 4 of the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals, and his birth dovetailed with a remarkable upswing in form for his old man.\nVanVleet Sr. scored 13 points and six assists that game as the Raps won 120-102 over the Milwaukee Bucks.\nDespite losing sleep and running frantically to welcome his new baby boy, VanVleet credits his son's birth for his performance that night, per Sports Illustrated.\nPlayoff Fred would stick around for the remainder, too. The Rockford, Ill. native played a starring role as the Raps won Canada's first-ever NBA title.\nfredvanvleet | Instagram\nIn fact, so much credit was given to Fred Jr.'s impact that fans were even campaigning for the little one to be given a ring just like his dad. It wouldn't have fit him, but we can see the reasoning.\nAnd after the adorable snap was shared on Twitter, too, fans were quick to hail young Fred as the team's real MVP.\n"This kid won them a championship," read one tweet.\nLiterally Fred Jr pic.twitter.com/5mONXt34bB— The ManDemlorian (@nasimali) January 28, 2020\nThe real MVP— Bicky Heer (@BickyHeer) January 28, 2020\nThis kid won them a championship— Darrrrn (@DarnHWBoy) January 28, 2020\nPlayoff MVP right there— Fra (@framinn) January 28, 2020\nFinals MVP FVV Jr* https://t.co/HFc2Se212v— surgical summer (@mountains1de) January 28, 2020\nOur great luck charm!!!! Canada’s baby!!!— Jody Lantz (@FlyerRapJayPat) January 28, 2020\nNow that everyone saw this picture, we're all scoring 44pts each vs. the Hawks tn— sheldon beefe (@JackieHockey) January 28, 2020\nI mean... 😭😍— De (@dede_wanders) January 28, 2020\nThere can be little doubt that Raptors fans love VanVleet, and the VV fam loves Toronto right back. The adopted Canadians even shared their favourite places to hit up in the 6ix.\nThe VV family isn't alone on that score, of course. Kyle Lowry, who's been an honorary Torontonian for many years now, shared back in summer that his family intends to stay in the city.\nAnyway, how cute would it be if Fred Jr. became a mascot and Fred Sr. moved into coaching? Some of his teammates think VanVleet (the elder) has already got what it takes to be a future NBA coach as he's already showing off his leadership skills.\nOK, now we're picturing Fred Sr. coaching Fred. Jr. in Toronto in 20 years' time. MVP!
