On Thursday night in Los Angeles, Kawhi Leonard, his girlfriend Kishele Shipley and their daughter attended the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards. Kawhi Leonard showed up to the event wearing his New Balance collection gear, as usual. The one thing that stood out the most, though, was his shoes. Kawhi Leonard rocked the Raptors Championship pack New Balance shoes, which dropped last month. He may be a Los Angeles Clipper, but he's still repping the north. We all know Leonard has recently signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, but instead of signing the 4-year max deal, Leonard signed a 2-year deal with a player option on the third year, making him a potential free agent by 2021. Some Raptors fans believe this could be a sign that Toronto might still be in his future and that he could make a return to the six come 2021. As much as that may be a long shot, it's always nice to dream and either way, Leonard will always be an honourary Canadian. Other fans, clearly still bitter about Leonard's decision to leave, would prefer he not wear Raptors colours at all anymore. Maybe he's not done celebrating the championship he won as a Raptor, even though he's no longer in Toronto to celebrate with us.
