It might’ve been all love between the Toronto Raptors and their former teammate Kawhi Leonard on Monday night. However, a recent development has led some fans to turn against the ex-Raptor. A post on the team’s Twitter page revealed that OG Anunoby, one of Toronto’s rising basketball stars, had suffered a contusion to his right eye after Kawhi accidentally poked it while trying to make a steal during the Clippers bout against the Raptors.

The update featured a short video of OG, in which the player can be sitting on a plane with the rest of his team wearing sunglasses to cover up his injury.

“He saw a specialist today in LA, who diagnosed a contusion to his right eye. He will not play Wednesday at Portland,” the description on the video reads.

The news of OG’s inability to hit the court this Wednesday comes after both Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka were forced onto the sidelines with their own injuries.

According to TSN, Lowry is dealing with a fractured left thumb, which he got after going for a rebound in the first quarter of last Friday’s win over New Orleans.

Ibaka is also out of commission thanks to a severely sprained right ankle, which he also sustained during the first half of last Friday’s game.

The depressing outbreak of injury-related news also appears to have Raptors fans bitter, with some even blaming Kawhi for causing OG’s injury.

“OG was becoming the Next Kawhi, he did what he had to do to stop him, It won't be enough though,” wrote one disappointed fan.

“Kawhi made a big mistake,” wrote another.

Despite injuring one of his former teammates, Kawhi had nothing but nice things to say about his old teams.

"They did a great job on me tonight, defending, sending extra bodies," he told reporters during a post-game interview.

Kawhi was spotted hamming it up with both Lowry and Stanley Johnson during Tuesday’s night game at the Staples Centre.

The NBA star also mentioned that he was going to shoot OG Anunoby a follow-up text after the game to make sure everything was okay with him.
