Vancouver's NHL team may be busy defending their fifth-place spot in the Pacific Division, but that doesn't mean that they're not allowed to have fun off the ice. Canuck Adam Gaudette, for example, used his night off to just kick it and be goofy with his fiancee. A cute moment from the evening was posted in an Instagram story by Drew Shott, who is in a relationship with fellow Canuck Jalen Chatfield.\nIn the video, Gaudette plays an acoustic version of "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift in a living room next to a Christmas tree. Gaudette appears to know all the lyrics.\nShott captioned the video with, "Dinner & a show tonight" and tagged Gaudette and his fiancee Michaela in the post, who can also be heard singing in the background.\nGaudette announced their engagement back in August with a photo of the two together. "It took some convincing but she finally gave in," he wrote in the caption.\nView this post on Instagram It took some convincing but she finally gave in 😉 #Yeobo ♥️ A post shared by Adam Gaudette (@hockey_gaud) on Aug 16, 2019 at 4:37pm PDT\nThe Canucks lost to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night and are taking on the Vegas Golden Knights tonight. For Gaudette, there's nothing like a wholesome T-Swift singalong to decompress before returning to the ice.\nvia GIPHY\nOn Wednesday, the Canucks hosted their family skate night at the Rogers Arena. The team shared a few photos from the evening, including Quinn Hughes dressed as an elf and Chris Tanev skating with his beloved pet pug Riley in his arms.\n#Canucks family skate starring:DiPietro as Santa 🎅Hughes as Elf 🧝♂️Riley as Pug 🐶 pic.twitter.com/62EoXeicAU— Vancouver #Canucks (@Canucks) December 19, 2019\nIt's down-to-Earth and genuine moments like these when we're able to appreciate our talented hockey stars most.\nThere are stories everywhere.
